My Nanna and Poppa (that’s grandparents for your information) celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary today. I’m so proud of them.(x1)
They have, and will always, mean the world to me. I love my family in general, more than most people let on to how much they love theirs these days (sad, but a true observation) , but still, they have been big role models in my life and have done a great deal for my family. They’re always there for you and have helped my mum and dad out a lot from the start of their relationship and up until now. And to be fair, have always helped the rest of my family to the best of their ability. Sadly my Nan and Pops have also dealt with some bad times, most of it you could argue undeserving, but they’ve got through it with their heads held high and no shame to bare. I’m so proud of them. (again!)
I could go on for hours about how much a I love them and all that they have done. But that’s family life and I don’t like spewing too much of it out to the world wide web. That and not everyone wants to hear it in this day and age. Just want to let everyone know how much these people mean to me :). And to how I aspire to be like them, I’d love to celebrate my own 50th wedding anniversary someday…
Which is becoming rare in itself with my generations lack of motivation to get married. But hey, I got to get through the actual thing it’s self yet! (Can’t wait for that! Though it’s a bit shit that they cost so much though. Ughhh.)
Until the next time, hope you all have amazing families too. I’d love to meet someone who adores their families as much as I as they are truly great people no matter what. Here’s to hoping, cheers!
